Partners from Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia and Cyprus are working intensively together to optimise cross-border freight and passenger transport with the help of innovative ITS implementations in the motorway infrastructure. On the one hand, the compatibility of the ITS systems is ensured by coordination with neighbouring countries via corridor. On the other hand, the possibility of cross-border data exchange increases the efficiency of the systems and thus brings the vision of pan-European ITS solutions a step closer. This ensures that the investments made are future-proof and that no further adjustments are necessary in the short term.

Together with the Austrian project partners, AustriaTech is playing a leading role in the integration of innovative telematics for transport and traffic in Central and Eastern European countries. This is of decisive importance from a transport policy perspective (presentation of transport policy objectives vis-à-vis the EU) as well as from a location and innovation policy perspective (functioning transport system and positioning of Austrian solutions).
